Crown

Description - If a tooth is severely broken down, fractured, had a root canal, or needs a large filling replaced, a crown may be recommended. Dental crowns are often referred to as “caps” as they cover the whole tooth.  A tooth with a crown still needs regular dental care as there is still the natural root extending below the crown into the jaw bone which can be susceptible to decay.
